2 things I am curious to explore -
But as Rovelli says too, time is just our perception.
My idea is to create a clock, that always jumps back to the wrong time absurd time. I want it to be a simple looking clock everyday so that the user is invited to fix the hours and minute hand.
If they fix the hour hand and the move on to the minute hand, the hour hand flips back to the wrong position. Ideally I would want to design it so that the user gives it atleast 2-3 attempts.
The idea is to convey how pointless it is to keep chasing time. While engaged in fixing the clock,
the machine will start showing stats of different things that have happened in time the user was engaged in trying to get the time right. The stats can be like - "xyz number of kids were born in all this time","abc number of mosquitos layed eggs" etc. But for other it could also be just very slow events having taken place.
Does that change our perception of how much time we spent chasing time?
